Charitybuzz Highlight: Feeling a Little Starstruck?

March 9, 2012

Here’s a chance to rub elbows with some famous and influential people, all while supporting PHS and its programs (like Plant One Million and City Harvest).

The PHS auction at charitybuzz.com features some incredible prizes including tickets to watch a live taping of Hardball with Chris Matthews and a tour of the set, followed by a photo-op with the host and Philadelphia native, Chris Matthews!

On a lighter note, bid for two VIP tickets to be in the studio audience for LIVE! With Kelly in New York (who doesn’t want to start their day with Kelly Ripa?), or be among Philadelphia’s brightest stars with tickets to the Preview Party for the 2013 Philadelphia International Flower Show.

Want to catch up on all things Philly-related? Bid on the opportunity for you and a guest to have lunch with one of most-recognized voices in the Delaware Valley—KYW Newsradio anchor, Harry Donahue. Harry is also the voice of Temple University football and basketball, hosts weekly radio and television shows, and has also done play-by-play for Philadelphia Eagles preseason games.

Visit charitybuzz.com between now and March 13 to bid. Good luck!

Charitybuzz Highlights: The Ultimate for the Sports Fan

March 2, 2012

The PHS auction at charitybuzz.com is teeming with one-of-a-kind prizes for the sports-minded set. For instance, picture yourself with three fiends at center court for a Philadelphia 76ers game or being incredibly close to your favorite player at a Phillies home game.

Or imagine watching the Philadelphia Eagles next season with two suite tickets and two sideline passes.

Want to get the inside scoop on the game? You and three guests can have lunch with former Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants punter, Sean Landeta.

Want to play instead of spectate? Bid on a round of golf at Merion Golf Club’s East Course in Ardmore, PA. where you and two guests will create a foursome with member and PHS luminary Harry Hill, and then enjoy lunch and a post-round drink.

Bid early and often at charitybuzz.com! These and many other prizes beyond the wide world of sports are only available until Tuesday, March 13. The proceeds from your winning bid directly support PHS and its programs, including Plant One Million and City Harvest. Good luck!

If you’re visiting from afar, or just want to get away for an evening, the Philadelphia area has hundreds of hotels for your convenience. We’ve prepared a list of 15 to help you on your way, all of which offer special deals for Flower Show guests.

Hotels aren’t the only ones offering ticket packages. A number of regional attractions and restaurants also offer Flower Show combos, including Longwood Gardens, the Adventure Aquarium, the Spirit of Liberty, and many more. Find the complete list here.

New this year is a special offer from City Food Tours. A limited-time Flower Show Tour will have you sample the city’s finest treats, including cheeses with a French flair, flower-infused chocolates, and exotic teas coveted by Parisians.

As always, send any questions my way. We can’t wait to see you at the Flower Show.

Plan Your Visit: Value Ticket Packages

February 2, 2011

Whether you’re a Flower Show veteran or planning your first trip, this week I want to share some tips to help you get Show ready. For instance, I highly recommend the value ticket packages available online at www.theflowershow.com.

If yours is a family of four, consider the PHS Family Fun Pak. For $70 you receive two adult and two child (ages 2-16) tickets to the Show.

No kids? No worries—opt for the PHS Value Pak. Receive four adult tickets for the super-low price of $95.

But wait, there’s more! In addition to the tickets, both Paks include a free, one-year PHS membership. The benefits of membership are just about endless, so read up on the Family Fun Pak and Value Pak here.

If you have questions about this offer or anything pertaining to the Show, ask away in the comments section.
