L’acqua e vita, La vita e acqua

Did you know the life of a watershed begins with the birth of a stream?

Well, the exhibit coming to the Flower Show by the Enivronmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA Region III), will teach homeowners how to do their part in managing surface water and protecting valuable aquatic resources downstream.

Their exhibit will allow visitors to enter a native woodland garden and listen to the sounds of a brook as it emerges from a bog, forming a headwater stream. According to EPA man Todd Lutte, the water it carries provides the basic building block of life. We’ll get to see native rhododendrons, pitcher plants and a variety of other native flora that depict the natural beauty and important role that plants serve within the environment.
