Speaking of water, if you’re looking for tips on how to conserve water, especially in the city, don’t miss the Philadelphia Water Department’s exhibit. Featuring a typical South Philly back yard, visitors can get a quick course in conserving water and reducing pollution. Rain barrels. Soaker hoses. Permeable pavers. You name it. The display will teach visitors how to be smart stewards of the environment. You can also learn how to build a rain barrel here.
