New from the Netherlands



If you’ve been to the Flower Show before, surely you remember this charming green structure? This trademark of the Netherlands American Business Association, surrounded by colorful spring bulbs, has been a Flower Show staple for years.

But while holding on to tradition, the NABA is adding some new attractions to its 2009 exhibit. Three paintings of Leo van den Ende, each depicting the flower fields of Holland, will be prominently placed.

Tom Snyder of NABA tells me that these flower fields were painted from memory, as they no longer exist due to development and expansion. Tom is working with others to collect and raise awareness of van den Ende’s work. If you like what you see at the Show, learn more at
