What a great day! I was able to attend not one, but two culinary presentations at the Flower Show. Up first was Chef Janine DeMarco of the Toscana Saporita Cooking School in Italy. She—with the assistance of students from The Art Institute of Philadelphia’s Culinary Arts program—whipped up a batch of unbelievable biscotti.

Up next was Chef Susanna Foo, who made three recipes in just 30 minutes. I’m not sure what was more mouth-watering, the fried goat cheese with golden beets or the Chinese-influenced ratatouille. Either way you slice it, culinary in room 204C is a Flower Show highlight.

Chef Joseph Shilling of the Art Institute hosts each cooking demonstration. He says, “I think the number one reason I come back each year is because of the crowds. Between the great food and the wonderful people, it’s like having a family reunion!”

See more photos and what’s ahead for the weekend after the jump. Culinary at the Flower Show is presented by Acme Markets and IKEA.
