A Masterpiece of Garden Design

cugliottaAs we head into the final weekend of the 2009 Philadelphia Flower Show, let’s give a big round of applause to our exhibitors, especially the landscapers, flower arrangers, artists, and craftspeople who created the central displays of Bella Italia.

Everyone has their favorite, but I couldn’t walk through “Rome” this week without thinking what a great job Joe Cugliotta Landscape Nursery did with these gardens. Its use of classical columns, Italian formal designs and roses by the thousands made for a perfect centerpiece for the ’09 Show. This is a Philadelphia Flower Show folks will be talking about for years.

(And just FYI, the Flower Show closes at 6pm on Sunday evening, so come on down for your last chance to see the truly spectacular Bella Italia.)
