One of the most memorable exhibits at the 2009 Philadelphia Flower Show, “Bella Italia,” was the serene, candlelit spa created by Flowers By David.  “For months after the show, people emailed me their pictures of our exhibit,” said Robin Heller.

She and husband David love that interaction with Flower Show guests, and they try to maintain a constant presence at their display to talk with visitors.

For their 14th year at the Flower Show, the Hellers will take a celebratory approach to the theme, “Passport to the World.” Their exhibit will evoke the spirit of travel and transition.

David Heller explains that the setting will be a festive prom night with a cruise ship theme. Local artists will paint the mural of a cruise liner with waving voyagers, Heller said, and a gangway will link the ship and the prom reception. Students from the Bucks County Technical School, who built the beautiful structure for the Hellers’ Italian garden spa in 2009, will help create the 2010 display.

Unique table settings with whimsically designed floral centerpieces will express the special occasion — a time of change and travel to new destinations.
