Bollywood Nights set for Flower Show Stage

by

One of the most exciting dance forms in the world will be presented at the 2010 Philadelphia International Flower Show on the Explorer’s Stage.

A troupe of Bollywood dancers, choreographed by Rujuta Vaidya, will perform the lively movements popularized in Indian films, TV and stage on Monday through Saturday nights at the Flower Show. Ruj, as she is better known, was the choreographer of the fantastic Slumdog Millionaire dance sequence presented at the 2009 Academy Awards. She has also worked on dance steps with Britney Spears and the Cheetah Girls.

Classical Indian dancer Archana Joglekar also will appear on the Flower Show stage on Thursday, March 4, at 5:30 p.m. Archana is an accomplished screen and stage performer and founder-director of a dance academy in New Jersey.

More details to come. Stay tuned!
