Experience a Photographic Journey through Burma, a pre-Flower Show event

Longtime Flower Show supporter Penny Hansen will share her passion for photography, including her work from a recent excursion to Myanmar, on Jan. 13 as part of PHS’s Flower Show-themed brown bag lunches.

Penny, who is originally from a small village in Oxfordshire, England, and has lived in the Philadelphia area for almost 30 years, has spent the last two years pursuing her goal of documenting the human condition wherever she finds it. She recently returned from a month-long photographic expedition to Myanmar (Burma), where she traveled to several remote areas. She currently serves on PHS ‘s Council and Development Committee.

The brown-bag lunch, “Burma – A Photographic Journey through the Lost Golden Land,” will be held at PHS on Wednesday, Jan. 13 from noon – 1:30p.m. The cost is only $5. To register, visit here.

This winter, PHS will be holding several brown-bag lunches featuring countries that will be showcased at the 2010 Flower Show, “Passport to the World.”

Stay tuned for more.
