The four newcomer exhibitors have certainly set the bar high this year. Take, for instance, this work of art from Beautiful Blooms. What you see here is an artistic interpretation of a topographic map. The blue represents the sea, which leads to the shore, a field, and eventually a snow-peaked mountain. Glass vases featuring mini-arrangements of thistle, delphinium, baby’s breath, and others replicate the look and feel of a three-dimensional map.
Maya Shumar, one of the brilliant minds behind the exhibit, encourages visitors to not only take note of the exhibit, but the stunning shadows created by the suspended vases. From every angle, this one is a winner; I can’t wait to see what Beautiful Blooms brings us next year.
