Explore Fairmount Park this Spring

I don’t know about you, but the Fairmount Park exhibit at the Flower Show this year made me eager to get outside and experience Philadelphia’s parks system. First on my list is Bartram’s Garden, which was the inspiration for the exhibit.

Bartram’s Garden played an influential role for plant explorers, botanists, and naturalists throughout the world. The Flower Show exhibit showcased native plants discovered by the Bartrams in the 18th century, as well as those plants that would have been utilized in gardens during John Bartram’s time. Practical take-home tips were offered on the use of native perennials and shrubs for large- and small-scale projects.

While the display was inspiring, the real Bartram’s Garden is where you’ll really be awestruck. There is so much to see and do, start planning a trip today.
