Schaffer Sparkles with Hollywood Scenes

by

Movie buffs will fall in love with Schaffer Designs homage to the classic film “An American in Paris,” which is now celebrating its 60th anniversary. Bill Schaffer has created a 360-degree diorama of famous scenes from the movie musical, and has infused it with incredible floral creations.

Remember the lavish dance sequence by the fountain? Bill’s interpretation is seen here with 2,500-some stems from Japan, including some that have never been exhibited in the U.S. before. Other magical moments recreated for Flower Show guests include the carnival scene, the stairway lined with glamorous dancing girls, and—of course—the can-can dance.

Bill says, “We want to give the view from the director’s chair and share with people the spectacle of putting on a Show!” Bravo, Schaffer Designs (4403 Richmond St. Philadelphia, PA 19137)!

Not only is Bill Schaffer a highly talented designer with tremendous vision, he is a nice person. It was an honor to be asked to be on the team as a principal designer for the Carnival scene. Kudos to Schaffer Designs! Bill and Kris deserve every good thing that comes their way.
